Battery Limited Warranty
Coverage Period: This Battery Limited Warranty is valid for a period of 36 months, prorated, from the date of purchase.
Coverage: This Limited Warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period.
Maintenance Requirements:
- Proper charging and maintenance as outlined.
- Use of authorized charging equipment only. Namely, the Wink provided charging cord and plug.
- Use of a 110 V AC outlet for charging only.
- Routine checks by authorized service technicians or service centers.
- Battery inspection every three months by a licensed independent mechanic, electric or golf cart repair shop, or a licensed independent mechanic, which includes cycling the battery from full charge to 20% capacity and back to 100%. These inspections need to be reported to Wink within one week of such inspection via email directly to Wink.
Exclusions:
- Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs.
- Damage due to improper charging practices or use of non-approved chargers.
- Natural degradation of battery capacity over time.
- Use for commercial purposes, car sharing, or rental services.
- Any attempt to modify vehicle speed, motor, computer controller, or battery system voids this Limited Battery Warranty.
- Warranty voided if the battery is left unattended or uncharged for six months, potentially causing the battery to become bricked.
- Any attempt to charge the vehicle using anything other than a 110 V AC outlet voids the Limited Battery Warranty.
- Battery damage caused by extreme cold weather exposure.
Transferability: This Limited Battery Warranty is non-transferable and only covers the original purchaser.
Manufacturer Protection: Wink Motors is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the battery, including, but not limited to, loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the vehicle, or commercial loss.
Legal Compliance: This Limited Warranty complies with standard state-by-state legal requirements and protections, including but not limited to Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices (UDAP) laws, which prohibit deceptive practices in consumer transactions and, in many states, also prohibit unfair or unconscionable practices.
